Miri Sampson, MA, LMFTA, is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who offers warm, person-centered therapy to individuals, couples, teens, and families. Her work is grounded in creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move toward  meaningful healing and growth.
Miri’s approach is relational, trauma-informed, and deeply collaborative. Miri values an integrated healthcare approach to care and, when helpful or desired, works alongside other providers to support her clients in a more comprehensive manner. She integrates EMDR, somatic awareness, and systems-based thinking to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. She believes healing begins with presence, having someone who honors your story, affirms your inherent worth, and walks alongside you at your own pace.

She specializes in sex therapy, religious harm, purity culture recovery, neurodivergence (including
ADHD and ASD), and relationship work. Miri is particularly passionate about supporting clients in
navigating identity, healing from shame, rebuilding trust after relational ruptures, and developing more
connected and authentic relationships with themselves and others.
In addition to her private practice work, Miri is the co-owner of the Northwest Institute on Intimacy
(NWIOI), where she helps design and facilitate training for therapists seeking specialized education in
sexuality and relational therapy. Through her work with the institute, she is committed to fostering a
learning environment that is experiential, inclusive, and grounded in real-world clinical practice,
supporting various professionals in developing both competence and confidence in sex therapy or sex
counseling.
Miri is committed to providing an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent
clients, and people from diverse backgrounds and belief systems. Her work is rooted in consent, deep
listening, and respect for each client’s lived experience, with the belief that every person deserves a
place where their full humanity is welcomed and held with care.
